Biography

Flogging Molly is one of the most recognized acts in Celtic Punk. The band formed in LA California in 1997 playing a pub called Molly Malones. This Folk punk band has put out a number of albums and singles which includes; Alive Behind The Green Door, Salty Dog, Swagger, Drunken Lullabies, Within A Mile Of Home (dedicated to Johnny Cash and Joe Strummer), Whiskey On A Sunday, and Float.

Their music has also seen its fair share of usage in pop culture from Guinness ads to video games such as Ea games FIFA 2005. Also appearing in Tv shows and movies such as Mr.& Mrs Smith, P.S. I Love You, The Shield , Brotherhood, Weeds, Boom Boom, Gilmore Girls, Bones, and the play The Kings of the Kilburn High Rd.

The 2008 release of Float would reach a milestone for the Celtic Punk genre as it would go on to hit number 4 on the Billboard top 200, the current height of any Irish Punk band.
